THE TRAILHEAD COMMUNITY STORY

Trailhead Community was founded by families and advocates who saw a need for something that was incredibly difficult to find: a place where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities could live independently while being part of a safe, connected, and inclusive community.

Today, that vision is a reality in Littleton. Trailhead brings adults with and without developmental disabilities together in an intentionally designed community that supports independence, accessibility, connection, and belonging. Residents have their own homes while benefiting from accessible design, shared community spaces, opportunities to build relationships, and 24/7 non-medical staff presence.

But opening our doors was never the finish line. Trailhead Community continues to invest in the programs, resources, and improvements that strengthen life for the people who call Trailhead home while working to expand access to inclusive housing for more individuals and families.
