No parent wants to imagine it. No community wants to believe it could happen to them. And yet, tragedies continue to unfold in schools across the United States.Too often, attackers gain entry through something preventable—a door that won’t lock properly, a window not built to withstand forced entry, or a malfunctioning security system. These gaps are small, but the consequences are devastating.Shield Our Schools Foundation (SOS) exists to close those gaps. With the support of Donors around the world, SOS provides funding to schools so they can keep their funds in place for academic enrichment.  We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution.Working alongside local law enforcement, we identify the tools and techniques that make the greatest impact—like bullet-resistant windows, upgraded locking systems, and even AI-powered cameras that can detect someone with a firearm approaching the school. If a school has a more specific need, we will address it on a case by case basis. From there, schools choose the solutions that fit their unique needs. It’s simple. It’s effective. And it saves lives.
