Childcare FAQ 

• What time does childcare start and end?

Childcare is provided from 4pm until 9pm. Please be prompt in dropping off and picking up your child/children during this time.

• Where will the childcare be located?

Childcare will be at Global Village Academy - Douglas County. 18451 Ponderosa Dr. Parker, CO 80134. 

• Can families who are not currently enrolled in Innovation Learning sign up for care that evening? If so, what would that registration process look like?  

Absolutely!  This is also a marketing event for us at the same time, and we want families to try our program out.  Families would complete an on-site registration form.  Simple, one page form.  Since they are onsite that evening it makes it even simpler, but we still need the contact info and consent to medical treatment just in case.

• Is there an age minimum for participation?  

Yes, we typically do potty trained and above.  So traditionally three years and older. 

• Will you need access to additional classrooms or spaces beyond the primary area?

If we are providing care for younger ages, threes and fours, all the way to 5th and 6th grade, it is usually advantageous for us to split into smaller groups if we have a large turnout.  We can plan to use one space, but it would be nice to have a couple back up classrooms should we have a large group (10-20 three/four-year-olds) or even 10-20 fifth/sixth grade students that we could break them away.  

• What staffing and supervision model do you typically use for an event of this length?  

We would use our traditional staffing model of 1:15 students and for the 3–4-year-olds we would use 1:10 ratio, if the volume of students makes sense (10+ more of just that age segment).

• Will dinner and/or snacks be provided?

Yes. Pizza, Fruit/Veggie Trays and Drinks will be provided by PIC. The cost of registration is covering the cost of the food. If you have a special dietary need for your child/children, please have them bring their own dinner and snacks.  

• Will I be able to drop off my child/children if I do not register

No. You must register for childcare prior to the closing of ticketing. Walk-ins will not be allowed.
