About Us

About Us

Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center was founded 42 years ago as a private 501(c)(3) organization. We offer compassionate and expert treatment of orphaned, injured, and sick mammals, songbirds, and waterfowl/shorebirds. We care for many species of Colorado wildlife, from as large as a coyote to as small as a hummingbird. In 2023, over 4,000 wild animals came through our doors, of which 73% were orphaned. We also provide valuable learning experiences for children and adults through our education and outreach programs, advising the public on humane solutions to human-wildlife interactions.

We are not a government agency, nor do we receive funding from national organizations. As the largest rehabilitation center of our kind in Colorado, we provide essential services that depend on the generosity of businesses and private supporters.
