The Aspen Bandstand Competition is back! Patrons are encouraged to join us on stage and compete to win the title of ‘3rd Annual Aspen Bandstand Champion’! Hosted by the charismatic DanceAspen dancers, it's sure to be a night of elegance, entertainment, and unforgettable moments.

Get ready to showcase your best moves in our annual "Bandstand Style" dance competition. It's an evening of glamor, nostalgia, and fierce competition you won't want to miss!

In the spirit of Old Hollywood elegance and charm, we are paying tribute to the timeless era of classic cinema. Attire can range from sleek suits, tuxedos and fedoras for gentlemen to glamorous evening gowns and fur stoles for ladies. For those looking to add an extra touch of authenticity, showcase your best Old Hollywood-inspired look, whether it's channeling the sophistication of Greta Garbo, the allure of Rita Hayworth, or the debonair style of Humphrey Bogart. Let's step back in time and celebrate the magic of Old Hollywood!

The DanceAspen Summer Gala is a vibrant celebration that brings together the charm of the mystery of a masquerade, and the energy of dance for a singular and unforgettable evening. This year’s theme, Moonlit Masquerade, blends Western elegance with dynamic storytelling, creating a richly layered experience that honors the company’s bold spirit and artistic vision.
The evening begins at 5:30 PM with a candlelit cocktail hour, inviting guests to gather in the Hotel Jerome Antler Bar. At 6:30 PM, guests will be welcomed into the Grand Ballroom for a seated three-course dinner and a curated program featuring original performances by the DanceAspen artists.
The evening continues with a spirited paddle raise and live auction—offering guests the opportunity to directly support the company’s mission. Later, the beloved Aspen Bandstand Competition returns with a masked twist, hosted by DanceAspen’s charismatic performers. Guests are invited to take the stage, join the dancers, and compete for the title of Aspen Bandstand Champion in a moment of joy, spontaneity, and community.
ENTERTAINMENT
Inspired by the allure of a night en masque, the evening features original works by DanceAspen’s boundary-pushing artists. After dinner, the ballroom transforms as DJ Dylan, joined by an electric violinist and saxophonist, invites guests to the dance floor. The night culminates with the Aspen Bandstand Competition — a high-spirited finale where one guest will claim the title of Champion.
DRESS
Black tie for gentlemen, gowns or chic evening wear for ladies. Top it off with a mask that’s bold, minimal, or wildly creative — your signature touch of mystery and flair.

Announcing the highly anticipated 3rd Annual Gala by DanceAspen, where we're rolling out the red carpet for an unforgettable night of glitz and glamour! Last year's Aspen Bandstand Gala was an absolute sensation, selling out in record time and earning the title of the "party of the year"! But hold onto your fedoras and pearls folks, because this year, we're taking it up a notch! Get ready to step back in time to the golden era of Old Hollywood with our Aspen Bandstand event and competition, now infused with the timeless allure of Old Hollywood! This year’s event, we are proud to honor Gail and Boogie Weinglass for their commitment to our mission and their continuous support.
DanceAspen’s Gala serves as the primary fundraising event to carry the company through the next season and years to come. All contributions will go towards DanceAspen’s mission to continue to bring exciting new choreography to the valley, enrich the community with outreach and education and support the local dance artists who have made Aspen their home.
