Antique Sikh Art: Collection of 12 Prints
16.5” x 21.5” Prints Highlighting Historical Sikh Art
Gifted by Bhajanjit “Sonny” Bal, these prints were originally created for the Sikh Fine Art Calendar 2000 - Culture and Kingdoms of the Sikhs.
In 2000, the Sikh Foundation in conjunction with the ChardiKalaa Sikh Community Center published a beautiful calendar featuring historical Sikh art. This collection of 12 prints is the original set of images used to create the calendar.
Close to poster size, these prints offer full-color replicas of precious historical Sikh artwork - including a painting of Guru Tegh Bahadur, circa 1670, by the Mughal School and a painting of The Golden Temple by a local artist in Amritsar from the 19th century. Each print highlights a work of art, along with a brief description of Sikh history and philosophy.
These prints are a little over 20 years old, in excellent condition. Offered here as one collection.
