Wild Bear began as a dream — a summer camp in the mountains with just $500 and a mission to connect children with nature. Thirty years later, that spark has grown into a free, year-round nature center serving schools, hundreds of kids, and over 20,000 annual visitors. Now, we’re building the highest-elevation net-positive nature center in the U.S. — designed to give back to the land and community.
